1. I disagree with the idea that our past can prevent us from experiencing freedom. I believe that people can truly change and accept the mistakes they made, make amends with themselves and be at peace with their past allowing themselves to experience.
2. I do not feel that Hamlet solved this, the freedom of an individual (the prince) did not give a freedom to the collective of man. It was quite the opposite in fact considering that the prince only cared about himself and not his people.
3. I think a good example of how 2312 depicts this is the entire situation of bringing the animals down to Earth. They complained about the animals as if they didn’t need them; they felt as if this was taking away their freedom individually because they now felt they had to travel in pairs while some would still travel individually. They felt this was something being taken away from them.
